Facebook has past the test of time.It just seems to get bigger and better.Makes it easy to keep up with friends and family.Really do enjoy the ability to post photos.the site very rarely crashes or slows down.

As I have mentioned I listen to Ham nation on twit tv.They have a show called smoke and solder.I enjoy it greatly.It can also be listened to as audio on mp3 player

I love listening to tech podcasts of all sorts.Twit tv has good podcasts.Lately have been listening to Ham Nation.Even through I am not a Ham operator i find the subject interesting

I like to listen to pod casts when I drive.
Recently discovered a wonderful tech host named
Leo Laporate The tech guy.
The show is not boring at all.

Keep the inside of your computer tower clean

For those of us who have computer towers,it,s a good idea to keep it clean inside.
This is especially true if you have dogs or cats.
There are several fans in the case or tower.
One in the power supply(don,t take that metal case apart)another on the motherboard and one stand alone fan.
If possible hold the fan blade from turning while spraying.Use only electronics grade can of air for this.Use short burst of air,2 seconds at,a time.Do not hold the can upside down.
I mentioned earlier about dogs and cats,especially if you have more than one pet.
The fan,s blow air,however to do that they take air in from the room.Which has dust and pet dandruff.This dust builds up on the fan makes it run slow and also coats the motherboard and ram.Acting like insulation.Which makes the computer run hotter.
I normally do this twice a year.

Net books

Net Book Computers do fill a need.
They are small and light in weight.
They cost less than a laptop.
They are intended for very light use.
Great for checking email,blogging and checking mapquest.
Places such as Tiger Direct offer refurbished ones too.

Sound Recorder for computers

My Granddaughters like to sing into a computer microphone.
At first I tried using windows recorder but that would not due as the time is short on that.
I found an open source program.
Open source means free to use.
Audacity® is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows

It will let you record for a very long time.
If you are really into it I recommend a usb microphone.
